FAKE NEWS

        We talked a little about fake news in class and I think this is an important and interesting subject to discuss. Here goes my little about fake news:

        Fake news are those news that have been manipulated or even invented by some channels of communication to attract people's attention. But fake news are not used just to attratc people, they are used too to hide some facts that are against the media's ideology.

        This happens a lot, without going further, in Spain. Last years, on the first october, a 'referendum' was orginized to decide about the future Independence of Catalunya. Spanish pólice acted with violence against those who decided to vote and more tan 900 people were injured. This fact was hidden by some manipulating medias because they did not want to show that atrocity to their country, there were political interests behind that.

         It seems to me that nowadays, every type of media has its own ideology and the information is almost always focused on that ideology. It is very difficult to find a newspaper, TV channel or another type of mass media that is made from 100% objective information.

PHOTOGRAPHER'S TIP

We have been working for some days in the photography and here I write some tips we learnt about:

· Rule of thirds

The canion is on a side of the screen and that is supposed to be the best composition for a good photograph. If the canion were in the middle of the screen the photo would look less profesional and nice.

· Framing

On this photo we can se a person in front of another frame.

                                                                                                      

· Rule of odds:

When the photo is composed by impaire subjects the picture usually looks better. I took two photos to check this rule and I think this rule have worked with this photo.

·Movement

I took this photo when I was hanging out with my friends at night. The picture looks very blurry and this give us the impression of movement.

· Golden hour

This is an image i had take from Urgull while the sun was setting. This type of pictures often is called as the ‘Golden hour’. We can see the sun going down between the clouds.

                                                                       

· Depth of field

I took this picture with an app that focus incorrectly the depths because I tried to take it with my mobile-phone’s camera and it did not work. It is a selfie and it is me with a friend, I tried to concentrate the attention on us

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

The European Year of Languages 2001, jointly organised by the Council of Europe and the European Union, was successful in involving millions of people across 45 participating countries. Its activities celebrated linguistic diversity in Europe and promoted language learning.

THE VIDEO: We want to ask people who knows different languages in our school to say a sentence in their language.

GAME: a trivial with questions about different countries and each languages of Europe.

T-SHIRT: a image of the world with people around it. The World has a mouth.

LETTERING

  Lettering is very important on comercials and marketing stuffs, because something as symple as the type of writing a shop's name, can attract more or less clients.

In class, we were doing some activities because of the European Day of Languages and the techer told us to write in a cardboard "welcome" in different languages (chinise, french, spanish, german, arabic...) and this is my result. I haven't done anything special or amazing because I am very bad drawing, so this have been pretty difficult to me.

I found these three lettering that attracted my attention in the street.

1. I liked this type of lettering because it is symple but it has something that gets your attention. The yellow is important because it is a very flashy colour.

                                                                                                                              

2. This lettering get my attention because it is a very pretty type of lettering and the star in the middle puts something special on it.

                                                            

3. I also like this lettering because it is very nice and elegant. I think that they have done it elegant because it is a jewelry shop and they want to do it classy.

MASS MEDIA: IRATI AND USOA

Here goes our entry about mass media!

The mass media is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass communication. In our daily life we use a lot of mass media but we are going to talk about three that we consider the most important.

- Television: we use it in our free time to be informed or to entertain alone or with friends and family.  We can watch series, reality-shows, the news or even documentaries. In the Basque  Country the common channel is ETB1, it means "Euskal Telebista" in basque. It was created in 31st December 1986, since 1986 the emissions are emitted only in basque. We have to underline the series called Goenkale, that has 16 seasons.

- Newspaper: it is useful to inform us about local, national and international events and conflicts. We can buy it physically or read it online. The newspaper use to have different sections; sports, politics, society and economy are some of them.

- Radio: we use it to listen to music, to be informed about news, to listen interviews, etc. Gaztea is one of the most listened radio channel in the Basque Country. The first emission was in te 1990's and they are emiting nowadays too.
